Originally,
my intention was to become an orchestral cellist and at 20 I was playing
in the New Jersey Symphony. At 23 I was Principal cellist in Biel Switzerland
under the baton of Jost Meir. I have always tried to improve my playing
by teaching , practicing, going to watch other cellists perform, taking
lessons with some of the best cellists I know of, and finally by going on
the stage to perform. When I go to a concert I want to be moved emotionally
rather than just be entertained with technical acrobatics. This is the real
challenge for any musician and what makes playing recitals so rewarding.
Listed below are my recitals and those of other cellists performing in the
Seattle area. Please let me know of other cellists playing here in the Northwest
and I will post them here as well.

I must admit this page has not been updated in quite a while. I have
played a two cello concert in Vancouver with Eric Wilson who teaches cello
at the University of British Columbia last month ( March 2013 ) and also
played a 3 hour recital ( Payed gig ! ) at the African American Museum
which was an all Bach Cello Suites Recital ... Whew ! I earned my money
that night. But the really important recital is on May 6th for my students.
This recital will be again at the Good Shepard Chapel performance center
in Wallingford Seattle. 50th and Dayton at 7:00 PM. You are invited to
come listen and meet the students. I will try and keep this page updated
for upcoming recitals before they happen !
